Sankhu, an Ancient City even mentioned on the ancient books of the Hindu Religion situated 13 kilometer on the northeastern side from the heart of capital city Kathmandu, was completely destroyed in devastating earthquake.510 buildings and public places were completely destroyed, 129 were very heavy damage, 52 building were substantial to heavy damage, 46 were moderate damage and 221 were negligibly damage on the same heart shocking event. This ancient city, on a half kilometer radius has 57 monuments recorded on the monument index. Hundreds of people had faced death and thousands of people were shelter less on Sankhu due to the earthquake.

Resided by typical Newar community inside the four gates of Sankhu region (known as Lawanya Country in ancient era) has preserved the Newari Cultures since centuries. The civilization resembles the lifestyle and tradition from a centuries ago. The buildings, the community centers and monuments are the constructions goes beyond centuries. Nepal not only lost Sankhu in the earthquake but also its historical and cultural significances.

Reconstruction of the public places namely, Public Buildings, Monuments and Parks, Cultural heritages, Religious sites, Stone Pavement etc.
